4 Questions to Ask the Salesperson before Buying Used Cars

At the time of buying a used car, you must make sure that the car is worth buying. You must decide your budget, the type of car that you want and most importantly, figure out the right dealer from whom you make the purchase.

If you are planning to buy a used car from used car dealers Bangalore, Chennai or any other place, here are 4 questions that you must ask the sales person before buying to gain more clarity about the dealer and car:

  1. Where Was the Car Purchased From?

Before you buy a used car, you must know who the actual owner was and for what reason he sold the car. You must know the name of the owner and his address and ask for the details of maintenance that were carried out by him. This would help you know that the car came from an authentic user.

  1. Is the Car Certified?

A certified car ensures that it has a clean record. Every car, before it gets a certification, has to be inspected properly. You must also ask for the documentation of the car and see the certificate for yourself. You must be aware of the technical problems that it had and whether all of them have been fixed or not.

  1. Can I Take a Test Drive?

Test drives are not just given for brand new cars. You can also ask for a test drive from the dealer. If the answer is yes, then you can take the car for a test drive and see for yourself if everything is working properly. Check the clutch, brakes, acceleration, sound of engine, AC, leg space and other important things. If there is any problem, then you can talk to the salesperson about it.

  1. What Is Your Return Policy?

Authentic car dealers will surely have some return policy if after a few years you want to resell the car to them. It is a good option to go for a dealer that has a return policy as in that way the deal is more profitable.

Make sure to ask these questions for a better deal.
